A Blumhouse production that deserves your attention

The new thriller film Soft & Quiet was shot in one take, after four attempts, in four consecutive days. The film premiered at the SXSW Film Festival in March to rave reviews, scoring an 86% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The company Blumhouse has undertaken the production, together with Momentum Pictures , while Beth de Araújo has sat in the director’s chair and has also written the script. The summary is as follows:

The film takes place in one afternoon and focuses on the life of an elementary school teacher as she organizes a night out with other women. When the group heads home, the teacher will meet a woman from the past, leading to a chain of strange events.

Central figures here are Stefanie Estes, Olivia Luccardi, Eleanore Pienta, Dana Millican and Melissa Paulo. The film was inspired during the pandemic, but also by various feelings of confinement.

Soft & Quiet will be released in selected cinemas on November 4, and will also be available on VOD. Watch the official trailer through the following player.
