YouTube brings ‘Primetime Channels’ to streaming services – What is it and how does it work?

A central HUB for streaming!

Google has announced YouTube Primetime Channels , which will allow subscribing users to watch movies and series through a dedicated hub, much like “YouTube TV” works. It is worth mentioning that this new feature is only available for the US at the moment and we do not know when it will come to our parts.

More specifically, YouTube now wants to be your central platform-HUB that will allow you to watch movies, series and other content, through 30 different streaming services. Below you can also find the ones currently available in the US:

Once a user subscribes to a Primetime channel, they will be able to view the content of that channel through YouTube easily and quickly. If, for example, he subscribes to AMC+, content from that service will also appear in search.

Primetime Channels official page states the following:

Watch your favorite TV shows, movies, series and sports from various streaming services like Showtime, STARZ and Paramount+, AMC+, VIX+ and more, all directly from YouTube!

In addition, if someone watches a trailer of a series or a movie that is available on the respective service they have subscribed to, with the click of a button they will go to its page to watch it.

Google said it plans to offer more Primetime Channels in the future and expand this feature globally.
