WatchOS 10: The biggest Apple Watch upgrade in a while is coming
A landmark update for the Apple Watch
Apple announced watchOS 10, the brand new upgrade for the Apple Watch, in the middle of the WWDC 2023 event, which is a milestone for the company’s smartwatch operating system.
And not by chance since it completely changes the way the user interacts with their Apple Watch, with widgets making their big comeback. Turning the digital crown shows the stack of widgets, where by scrolling you will easily and quickly find the information you want from all applications.
Classic Apple Watch apps like Weather, Home, Maps, Messages, Stocks and World Clock are transformed to display information at a glance to the user. Many third-party apps are and will be upgraded to display “at-a-glance” information like Apple’s.
Another important area that Apple is improving is updates on the user’s health and especially on their mental health. In watchOS 10, the user will be able to record his mood in the special Mindfulness application. All this data, together with various quizzes and questions it will ask you during the day, will give an assessment of whether you have excessive stress or if you are at risk of depression .
Any watch face now displays widgets in a smart stack and they are also easier to read. In fact, two new watchfaces are added with watchOS: the colorful Pallete and one with Snoopy.

Finally, watchOS 10 is available from today for developers, the public beta will become available in July and in the autumn it will be released for everyone – so as to coincide with the launch of the Apple Watch Series 9 .
