PSVR 2: Release window confirmed by Sony  

A little closer to knowing exactly when the PS5 VR headset will arrive

Sony is steadily preparing the arrival of PlayStation VR 2 , its new VR headset for the PS5 , and has now announced its release window. 

According to various PlayStation social media pages around the world, PSVR 2 will be released in early 2023 , dashing any hopes of it hitting stores by this year’s holiday season. 

For the record, Sony had announced at the beginning of the year the official technical specifications of the PlayStation VR 2, such as that it will offer 4K HDR display with OLED screens and larger viewing angles, since the FOV will reach 110 degrees. Also, Sony had revealed  the first VR game of the new headset, Horizon Call of the Mountain developed by Guerrilla, in collaboration with Firesprite which was recently acquired by PlayStation. At the same time, in June’s State of Play we learned that Resident Evil Village will come to the headset , along with The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution , theNo Man’s Sky and other games. 

Sony recently gave new details about PSVR 2 features, such as See Through View and game space customization.
