Apple: We learned how much its car can cost and it is… a lot!

According to a Bloomberg report

We’ve been hearing for years now that Apple is preparing a car, which is slated to be released probably by 2026 . Now, according to a report carried by Bloomberg , its goal is to reach a price below $100,000 to make it attractive to a wider range of customers.

It seems that the company’s vehicle will have a traditional design with a steering wheel and pedals, while it will not have full autonomous driving, although it will be able to use various functions such as “self-driving mode” on major highways.

Apple’s main competitor will likely be Tesla , a company that has electric vehicles with prices that start at around $47,000 in America and can reach over $100,000. So if the base Apple Car is priced around $100,000, it will compete with Tesla’s Model S.

Her original plan was for the Apple Car to cost more than $120,000, but it seems her plans have changed. In addition, the company probably hasn’t finalized the design of the vehicle yet, but plans to finish it by 2023. Testing of the car is rumored to start in 2025 and it will be available in 2026.

Apple originally designed its car to resemble Canoo’s “Lifestyle Vehicle,” where passengers could look at each other, as it would be very limo-like, with no steering wheel or pedals, but that plan was scrapped.
