The new Dimensity 9200 beats Apple’s A16 in graphics
According to a new benchmark
MediaTek ‘s upcoming Dimensity 9200 chipset looks to bring an impressive leap in graphics performance, thanks to the switch to ARM’s Immortalis-G715 GPU, the first mobile GPU capable of ray tracing . The first benchmarks even show that the Dimensity 9200 defeats even the powerful A16 chipset from Apple!

The new MediaTek chip therefore reached 328 and 228fps in Manhattan 3.0 and 3.1 respectively, while Apple’s A16 was found at 243 and 190fps. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 was at 187 and 167fps.
It is worth noting, however, that these versions of GFXBench do not use ray tracing and have old versions of OpenGL ES. In any case, the results are impressive.

The benchmark also revealed information about the CPU, which appears to have three clusters clocked at 3.05GHz, 2.86GHz and 2GHz. However, we do not know if these will be the final frequencies, since they may change with newer firmware versions in the final product.
MediaTek will officially unveil its new chip on November 8.
