FAME: PlayStation prepares DualSense “Pro” controller like Xbox Elite
And his announcement is just around the corner
According to new rumors, Sony is preparing a “genuine professional” controller for the PlayStation 5 , which will be revealed in the coming weeks.
In particular, the most well-known reporter / leaker Tom Henderson is now coming through a post on tryhardguides.com to reveal the company’s plans. According to the information, this DualSense “Pro” controller is codenamed ‘Hunt’ and will have various interesting features, such as removable analog levers , trigger stops and rear keys in the form of paddles.
Henderson says he has taken photos of a supposed prototype, but could not publish them because their nature is such that it would reveal its source. It is worth noting that as can be seen from these images, Sony is experimenting with features such as the complete removal and replacement of the analog levers and their components. This means that if the controller presents the so-called “stick drift”, the analog ones can be easily replaced. On the opposite bank, the Xbox Elite Controller, Microsoft’s corresponding premium offer, only offers a change of lever sticks with options for various accessories, such as a curved or concave surface.
In fact, the report states that the “PS5 Pro Controller” will have significant upgrades in terms of its software. Sony may be preparing an accompanying app to customize and store specific profiles and customize other aspects of the experience.
For now, we do not know exactly when Sony intends to introduce this new DualSense controller, with Henderson saying that we can expect new ones in a few weeks, maybe at the end of the month, emphasizing that the company has various hardware announcements in the works.
