An important feature of the AirPods Pro 2 appeared on the earlier AirPods Pro

Adaptive Transparency

The 2nd generation AirPods Pro are out, and Apple has upgraded its new headphones with “Adaptive Transparency,” which improves Transparency Mode and minimizes certain sounds. This is an important feature that is also present in AirPods Max and through the microphones of the earphones it allows the user to better hear what is happening around him, without having to take them off.

However, with iOS 16.1 beta 3, many users noticed that the 1st generation AirPods Pro also received “Adaptive Transparency” and can select it through the settings. Apple says that Adaptive Transparency in AirPods Pro 2 uses the new H2 chip (which is not available in any other AirPods) to “minimize the volume of loud noises, such as sirens.

So, for some reason – which has not yet become known – this feature came (at least in beta) to the first AirPods Pro. Many users have seen Adaptive Transparency on the headphones in question and shared this news on Reddit , but it’s still unclear if this is a beta 3 bug or if it actually works on these headphones.
