Artemis I: We have a new launch date for the NASA mission
After the problems he faced
NASA’s Artemis I mission has already been significantly delayed due to problems fueling the massive SLS rocket, but now the problems have been resolved and NASA has given a new launch date .
So on September 27th we will see NASA’s huge mission to return to the Moon take its first step, while the alternative date in case of a problem has been set for October 2nd.
The mission will be unmanned and bring the Orion capsule into orbit around the Moon before returning to Earth again. If all goes well, the Artemis II mission will have the same goals, but this time it will be manned.
The hydrogen leak problem has been repaired and a launch pad test will take place on September 21. On September 27, NASA will have a 70-minute window to launch the rocket.
The end of the month will be full of space news, as on September 26 the DART mission will send a craft to collide with asteroids, while on October 3 SpaceX and NASA crew will be sent to the International Space Station.
