Intel Arc A770: Price and release date for the new RTX 3060 competitor

All set for her debut

In addition to its brand new 13th generation Core processors , in the context of the special ‘Intel Innovation’ show we finally learned when the company’s new graphics cards for desktop computers are going to hit the market.

Going into details, Intel has revealed that the highly anticipated Arc A770 , about which so much has been heard, will hit the market on October 12th . This is a mid-range model, which will compete with the GeForce RTX 3060 and Radeon RX 6650 XT. The price of the card will be $329 , which is the same as the suggested retail price of the RTX 3060.

Intel, however, pointed out that prices in the mid-range have slipped, noting for example that Nvidia’s proposal actually costs quite a bit more. Therefore, he characterized the Arc A770 as a card that is faster than the 3060 while asking for less.

Intel claims the Arc A770 offers 65% better peak performance in ray tracing applications than the competition, without specifying exactly which card was used for this particular comparison.

In terms of specs, the Arc A770 comes with the ACM-G10 GPU clocked at 2,100 MHz. In total it is equipped with 32 Xe-Cores (corresponding to 4096 stream processors). The card will come in 16GB and 8GB memory configurations, with a maximum speed of 17.5 Gbps and a theoretical bandwidth of 560 GB/s. All of Intel’s own Limited Edition models will come with 16GB of memory.

At the same time, on October 12, the little brother of the A770, the Arc A750, will also be on the market. And the model in question will come with the ACM-G10 GPU at 2050 MHz, but with 28 Xe-Cores enabled (corresponding to 3584 stream processors). As for the memory we have 8GB GDDR6 technology on a 256-bit bus, which means a maximum bandwidth of 512GB/s.

The consumption of both models (TDP) will be 225W.
