The Xbox Series X got a feature people have been asking for for years
Also available on Xbox Series S
Microsoft just made the September software update available for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S , which adds a new feature that the community has been asking for literally years.
Going into detail, current generation Xbox systems now have a background noise cancellation algorithm for party chat . This means that Xbox Live parties between owners of Xbox Series X|S consoles will no longer have annoying noises, such as controller clicks, breathing, music and anything other than the voice of the players that may have been picked up by the microphone of their headphones until now. .
It is worth noting that the noise cancellation technology is enabled by default, but if someone wants to disable it for some reason, of course they have this option. The option is in the Xbox Guide, then the Parties & chats tab, and from there the Options menu.
For the record, many other popular platforms, such as Discord on computers, already have similar technologies, which are extremely effective. It remains to be seen in practice, then, how good the Xbox implementation will be.
Finally, it should be noted that this is not the only new feature that has been added, since Microsoft now allows users to immediately start playing a game that they saw from a photo or video of a friend on the platform. This is done through its cloud gaming technology, which means that unfortunately it is not yet available in Greece.
