Chinese companies postpone product launches due to politician’s death  

Among them Xiaomi and Huawei

The death of the former General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, Jiang Zemin at the age of 96, has plunged China into mourning. In fact, the largest technology companies such as Xiaomi, Huawei, iQOO and MediaTek, decided to postpone the presentations of their new products which were scheduled for the next few days, in honor of the deceased politician.

Today the presentation of the Xiaomi 13 series was expected along with MIUI 14 and other Xiaomi devices. Huawei would present tomorrow new smartwatches, iQOO new smartphones and MediaTek the new Dimensity 8200 chipset.
