Team Ninja is probably preparing the return of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive
And he wants to share more soon
Team Ninja may be working on two major new IPs right now, but it looks like they’re not forgetting about their older series either.
In particular, the studio likely has reboots for both Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive in the works . This information comes from the translation of a speech by the president of the studio, Fumihiko Yasuda, who attended an event in Korea.
As part of his talk, Yasuda presented a slide showing “The Future of Team Ninja – Reboot of Famous Series”. Beneath that distinctive caption were two images of the aforementioned franchises, with Yasuda stating that the team wants to share more as soon as possible.
So, it’s kind of official: Team Ninja is probably preparing reboots of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive.

For the record, the historic Japanese team, also known for the recent Nioh, is currently working on two different projects for 2023 and 2024 respectively. The first is Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, a soulslike developed in collaboration with Koei Tecmo and announced at the Xbox summer launch, while the second is Rise of the Rōnin developed in collaboration with PlayStation and expected exclusively for PS5 .
So if we’re going to see a new Ninja Gaiden or Dead or Alive, we’ll probably need to arm ourselves with a lot of patience.
