Yes, after three whole years, YouTuber DarkViperAU has finally managed to complete the main story of Grand Theft Auto V by killing as few NPCs as possible.

In particular, the whole project of the “Pacifist%” run started in May 2019, with the following rules:

• It doesn’t allow you to kill anyone unless absolutely necessary by the game itself.
• If you need to kill someone, you do it with a melee attack.
• If there is no melee option, use your weakest weapon.
• Armor is prohibited unless required.
• Missions must be completed without any mods installed.
  

The latest video in the series was posted this week, with the final tally being as follows: 96 kills, with only 30 of them involving firearms. Of course, many more enemies died in the process, as the YouTuber let friendly NPCs do the legwork for him and carry the…regrets.

Overall, DarkViperAU reported that the effort took much longer than he expected. Ultimately, he ended up writing over 1000 hours of footage for the series, which brought his channel a total of over 30 million views and nearly 100k new subscribers.
