Smile: Paramount Pictures’ film swept the box office  

And it exceeded $100 million in receipts

Paramount Pictures has announced that Smile has surpassed $ 100 million at the worldwide box office.

In less than two weeks, the film, which has held the top spot in America since its first week, has collected a total of $55.5 million in the U.S. and $46.8 million internationally, becoming Paramount’s sixth film to top the box office for 2022.

Internationally, the film opened at #1 in 15 countries, and took the top spot in its second week in 24 more, where it achieved an incredible 32% increase. Top countries include the UK ($5.9M), Mexico ($4.6M), Germany ($4.0M), France ($3.6M), Australia ($2.5M), Spain ( $2.4 million) and Brazil ($1.7 million).

From the moment we saw the film we knew it had huge cinematic potential, and we are infinitely excited and proud to see audiences around the world agree and bring in such record numbers.

The film also had a very good promotional campaign with actors smiling horribly in various spots that were broadcast live on television networks.
