Steam: The Big Picture mode UI is finally changing
And you can try it yourself
After many years with various updates, Valve is finally changing the user interface of Steam ‘s Big Picture mode . This is a total overhaul, which will improve the overall experience of the user, who prefers to play from his sofa, PC games, through this function.
This update is finally coming, and we’re very excited to start receiving feedback from the community ,” Valve wrote.
To remind you, Steam Deck launched in February with SteamOS 3, which is essentially a brand new version of Valve’s operating system.
The updated Big Picture feature includes features such as:
- New home screen
- New search for games, the Steam store and your friends
- Updated Steam store
- New menu for quick navigation to your friends list, notifications, quick settings and more
- Settings to configure your controller as you wish
How can you test it?
Since it is in beta right now, you can edit the Steam shortcut on your computer, through the properties by typing “-gamepadui” as in the image below:
