Nier Automata Ver 1.1a – We learned when the anime will premiere! (VIDEO)   

And you won’t have to wait long 

At the beginning of the year, on the occasion of the five-year anniversary of Nier Automata , Square Enix had revealed that the beloved game will also become an anime . So far, however, the information we knew was minimal, with fans looking forward to, among other things, the release date being revealed. 

Now, as part of the Aniplex Online Fest that took place over the weekend, franchise creator Yoko Taro has finally confirmed when we can expect the anime. So, Nier Automata Ver 1.1a is expected to premiere in January 2023. 

In fact, Taro also revealed some important details. In particular, he emphasized that due to the differences between the two mediums and despite efforts to faithfully transfer the game’s script, the final story of the anime will have differences . The talented Japanese pointed out that simple “copy-paste” would not work, stating that he would probably be responsible if there were any complaints. 

For now, in terms of the show’s plot, the translation of the Japanese description reads: 

In the distant future, humanity is losing to the overwhelming power of “mechanical life forms” controlled by aliens. “2B” belonging to the newly organized unit of Androids “YoRHa” will be thrown into a fierce battle to retake Earth.
