One UI 5: Available on Samsung Galaxy S22 – What’s new coming?

Another look at the new version

OneUI has started to be available on Samsung Galaxy S 22 and this means that for a few hours, owners of the company’s devices will be able to enjoy a renewed operating system that brings many new features.

For this reason, Samsung has uploaded a video on its official YouTube channel and shows you the changes of the new firmware, the updated Lock Screen and more.

Check it out below:

With firmware version S908BXXU2BVJA, the new update reaches almost 3GB and includes, among other things, all the October security updates. The software, which will essentially be based on Android 13, will bring with it many new features and improvements for the entire S22 series.

The 5th version of OneUI is coming faster this year than the 4th version we saw last year, since in 2021, the Galaxy S21s received the update in November and not in October, as will happen with the Galaxy S22s.

Some important features:

  • New icons
  • New call pop-up and new layout in notifications
  • New lock screen, wallpapers and layout for widgets
  • Improved multitasking, ability to extract and scan a text
  • Improved routine mode
  • New Sleep mode
  • Improved Privacy and security

OneUI 5 is available for Galaxy S22 for now. As for the company’s other devices, such as the Galaxy S21, Z Fold4, Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy A53, OneUi 5 will become available in the rest of the year.
