Apple last night unveiled the Vision Pro , its first VR/AR headset that promises to bring the future of technology beyond smartphones. And while it seems that the company’s “first space laptop” left quite a positive impression, a video with the price of the Vision Pro and the people who attended the WWDC 2023 presentation has been circulating on the internet for the last few hours.
More specifically, YouTuber named Katarina Mogus was at the event and captured the audience’s reactions with her mobile phone once it was revealed that the price of the Vision Pro will be $3499. Although various rumors over the last few months said that the VR/AR headset will cost around $3000, the official price reveal seems to have disappointed those who were there.
The video went viral on TikTok with more than 7 million views within hours and thousands of likes.
Apple calls the Vision Pro its first foray into “spatial computing.” It has 4K screens and a futuristic design with rounded glass that houses cameras and sensors inside to record the user and translate their movements into commands. Apple’s first space laptop can last just 2 hours of use with its extra external battery for completely portable use, while it lasts all day if you plug it into an outlet.
The Apple Vision Pro will be priced at $3,499, with an expected release in early 2024, according to Apple.
