Coolio: The legendary rapper of Gangsta’s Paradise has passed away

At the age of 59

Legendary rapper Coolio , who swept the 1990s with smash hits like ‘ Gangsta’s Paradise ‘ and ‘ Fantastic Voyage ‘, has died aged 59 .

The news came to the public eye from his friend and manager, Jarez Posey. Posey, who has worked with the rapper for more than 20 years, provided additional details, saying Coolio was at a friend’s house in Los Angeles when he went to the bathroom. At one point his friends realized it had been “long enough” so they broke down the door and found Coolio on the floor. An ambulance was immediately called and paramedics tried for 45 minutes to revive him, but the rapper finally died at around 5pm.

Speaking to CNN, his partner, Sheila Finegan, pointed out:

We are saddened by the loss of our beloved friend and customer, Coolio, who passed away this afternoon.

He touched the world with the gift of his talent and we will miss him dearly. Thank you to everyone around the world who listened to his music and to everyone who reached out to us about his passing. Keep Coolio’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers for them.
