Netflix has released the official trailer for the new movie Luther : The Fallen Sun , which promises to captivate you with a unique adventure and a lot of mystery, starring – of course – Idris Elba .
The iconic detective is coming to your small screen again, with a brand new movie this time that will even act as a sequel to the well-known series. So the time of the premiere is approaching, since initially the film had become available in certain cinemas worldwide.

The official synopsis of the film
In “Luther: The Fallen Sun – the sequel to the award-winning TV epic reimagined for film – a chilling serial killer terrorizes London, while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to captures the cyber-psychopath who is now stalking him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary.
Idris Elba has previously stated that despite the bigger budget and scale, the film will retain the gritty and grim texture of the series, as well as its blood-soaked set pieces:
“It’s very dangerous when you’re expanding from TV to film to throw in a lot of money and then change the features of the show,” he says. “I wanted to make sure that even though we had a bigger budget, we didn’t alter the parameters of Luther too much. We’re upping the action and upping the stakes. But the moment [of Season 3] with the man under the bed? That doesn’t cost a lot of money . These moments remain intact.”
In Luther: The Fallen Sun you will also see Cynthia Erivo, Andy Serkis and Dermot Crowley , while the direction has been undertaken by Jamie Payne and the script by Neil Cross .
Luther: The Fallen Sun will premiere on Netflix on March 10 .
