This is the thriller Stephen King wishes he had written ‘like a madman’
“Awesome and very, very scary”
The legendary author, Stephen King , has said that he wishes like crazy that he had written the new thriller film “ FALL ”, which is currently playing in America. The creator of IT and The Shining, characteristically said that this film is very tight, it is awesome and very scary.
This survival thriller follows two friends played by Grace Caroline Currey and Virginia Gardner who are “addicted” to adrenaline. They want to do the impossible and that is to climb a 2,000 foot TV tower in the middle of the desert. At first everything is going well, until the rusty old ladder they used breaks and guess what, they can’t get down.
FALL (Amazon Prime, maybe others): Tight, terrific, and very, very scary. Reminded me a bit of DUEL. Wish I’d written it.— Stephen King (@StephenKing)
FALL: tied, awesome and very, very scary. It reminded me a bit of DUEL. I wish I had written this.

The DUEL that King mentions in his statement is Steven Speilberg’s 1971 thriller based on a short story by Richard Matheson.
The film is now a “hit” and with a 3 million dollar budget, it managed to fill Lionsgate’s coffers with 16 million dollars.
FALL is playing through Prime Video but only for American audiences.
