This is the game that has been in development for more years than any other

Beat Duke Nukem Forever

The game that is now the number one game for the most years – of any other – in development, has changed. Until recently, the title that held the Guinness World Record was Duke Nukem Forever , which was 14 years in development after being revealed in 1997 and finally released in 2011.

If you don’t know, Duke Nukem Forever was in development for around 14 years and 5,156 days to be exact and was released in 2011. Now, it looks like a game from Ubisoft is taking the lead , and you might be wondering what it is.

Yes, Beyond Good & Evil 2 surpassed Duke Nukem Forever’s years of development, since it was first announced in 2008 and still hasn’t been released. The title in question has been in development for 5,234 days since the first CGI video released by Ubisoft.

For the record, the development of Beyond Good & Evil 2 has gone through forty waves, although Ubisoft for many years, since its revelation, continued to say that the project is progressing normally. In 2016, the company again said it was moving forward and gave a new trailer at E3, but as the years went by, we didn’t get much information about it.

Following the departure of creator Michel Ancel in 2020, Ubisoft stated that work on the game would continue, but did not give any information on when to expect it.
