Silent Hill 2 Will Stay True To Original Game – New Info
Bloober Team talks about the upcoming title
Last October, Konami announced that it is preparing the Remake of Silent Hill 2 with Bloober Team in charge. The title is expected to become available in 2023 and now, some very interesting information has come to light.
And this is because the studio preparing the remake of the legendary game said that fans should not be afraid at all, because the story will remain the same. The only thing that will change is the gameplay and the graphics, so that the game stands up to date.
Speaking to Dread XP, Bloober Team’s chief marketing officer Anna Jasińska said:
We are focused on bringing back the unique and special atmosphere of Silent Hill 2. Old fans should not worry that we might lose the meaning as we bring the title back to life.
We stay true to the classic story of the game, remaking the gameplay and graphics from scratch. This was the reason why Konami trusted us. We stay true to the original title. We are dedicated . However, we are implementing some changes in some areas where things need some modernization due to the time that has passed.
Let us remind you that the game is being made from scratch as stated by the developers with highly detailed graphics with Unreal Engine 5, new voice overs and fresh music, and Masahiro Ito is here with the monster design.

For the record, the original Silent Hill 2 was released in 2001 for the PlayStation 2, and later found its way to the Xbox and PC as well. Team Silent was responsible for this game, the story focuses on James Sunderland, who went to Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his dead wife that she was waiting for him there.
Silent Hill 2 is expected to be released for PS5 and PC, but we don’t know the release date yet.
