Boeing’s Starliner is safely landing in the US

The maiden flight of the Starliner the Boeing may not go according to plan, having failed to reach the ISS , but Boeing’s engineers and NASA wanted the capsule back to extract useful data. Thus, the Starliner landed safely in the New Mexico desert in the US, at the same time acquiring the title of the first American-made manned capsule to land. Older missions like Mercury, Gemini and Apollo have all sunk in the sea.

To be honest, Boeing is not in a position to propose a manned flight yet, until we can see all the facts. – Jim Chilton, Vice President of Boeing Space & Launch

The program predicts a manned flight in 2020, but by then Boeing and NASA will have to do more testing, one of which will be a rocket abandonment test.
