Steam: New Android and iPhone app launched to make your life easier

Bringing various new features

Something you might not have known is that Steam , the well-known PC gaming platform, has also had a mobile application for a decade. However, many users had stopped using it as it had ended up quite outdated.

Valve has decided to change that, now releasing a brand new version that aims to make players’ lives easier. Specifically, Android and iOS smartphone owners can download the app from today and take advantage of its various new and very useful features. For example, you can now log into Steam by simply scanning a QR code, just like Discord, to avoid having to type in your code every time. At the same time, the app also serves for two-factor authentication, strengthening the security of your account.

Of course, the entire UI has been completely revamped, offering easy and direct access to all games in the store, your library, communities, and every other aspect of Steam. There is also the ability to receive notifications for discounts, comments, trades, friend requests, etc., as well as the ability to remotely start a game download to find it on your computer when you get home.

The new Steam application includes many more useful features, which you can read in detail in Valve’s official announcement by clicking here . Finally, below you will also find the announcement video that the company released through its official YouTube account.
