You’ll have to dig deep into your pocket for Philips’ smart Christmas lights
But they come with many high-tech features
With Christmas just around the corner, Signify , the company formerly known as Philips Lighting and responsible for the hugely popular Philips Hue ecosystem of smart devices, has announced a new related product. We are talking about Festavia, the new Philips Hue Christmas lights , for those who want to have the most high-tech and colorful Christmas tree.
The Festavia have 250 mini LEDs and a length of up to 20 meters. Through the Philips Hue application they offer various advanced software features. The most obvious is that they can be synchronized with all the other lamps in your house, and you don’t have to bend under the tree to plug them in, since they are turned on remotely through the application. At the same time, always through the special app, their color can be changed in seconds, their brightness can also be changed, while their operation can be automated with a countdown for closing or automatic programming for opening.

Another interesting feature is that the lights can be synchronized with the music you are listening to on your Spotify, while special features have also been added to the Hue app, such as the “Sparkle” effect that makes each LED in a row glow, for a more festive atmosphere .
Of course, for all these features, interested parties will need to dig deep into their pockets. The Festavia costs $160 in the US market and is expected to hit shelves on November 15th.
