But when will it premiere?
Filming on The Witcher Season 3 had begun many months ago, but was delayed over the summer due to the coronavirus outbreak. However, during the summer they continued normally and apparently without any further problems.
And this is because it became known that the production of the new season has now been completed and this means that the series is now ready to be edited. In particular, Steve Gaub, who is an external producer on the 3rd season , uploaded a photo on his Instagram, which image focuses on a skull, while it was accompanied by a caption that mentions the completion of filming.
The official synopsis for season 3 states:
As monarchs, wizards and monsters of Epirus fight to capture her, Geralt tries to hide Ciri, determined to protect his newly reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. With Ciri now gaining magical abilities as well, Yennefer leads them to the forest of Aretuza where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s hidden abilities. But instead, they find themselves on a battlefield filled with political corruption, dark magic and betrayal. They will have to fight and risk everything, or they will lose each other.
As for the cast, Season 3 will bring several new additions, including Robbie Amell , Meng’er Zhang (Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings), Hugh Skinner (Mamma Mia Here We Go Again!) and Christelle Elwin (Half Bad). All of the above will meet the main protagonists of the cast, namely Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan and Joey Batey .
