Capcom Scans – Monster Hunter record financial results
The Monster Hunter World: Iceborne released in September on the consoles, recording an excellent course. It is also expected to arrive on PC on January 9th. The Capcom now announced its financial results for the first half of 2019 economic year and every indication what stands out is the expansion of Monster Hunter World.
So far, Iceborne has generated huge revenue, with sales surpassing 2.8 million copies by the end of September. In addition, the digital sales of Resident Evil 2 Remake , as well as Devil May Cry 5 , brought huge profits to the Japanese colossus. Capcom said it achieved the highest gain in all indicators in its history for the second quarter of any financial year. Practically the company’s finances broke all records.
Looking ahead, Capcom says it is aiming for the next seven years to increase its revenue from the upcoming games. The titles that have been announced so far are “Project Resistance”, the Iceborne that will arrive on computers, the Mega Man Zero / ZX Legacy Collection and the Mega Man X Dive that will arrive on smartphones. However, the Japanese company has also set the goal of developing mobile games domestically and internationally.
