GTA V: Great upgrade in graphics with the new update!

Check out some of the posts that flooded social media

A few hours ago, Rockstar Games released a new major update for GTA Online , entitled Los Santos Drug Wars, which at the same time upgraded the technical field of Grand Theft Auto V in general and the campaign of the title. More specifically, the version of the new generation consoles was enriched with ray-tracing features!

Going into detail, Rockstar leveraged advanced ray-counting technology to improve the rendering of reflections on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X . By choosing Fidelity Mode from the game’s settings, owners of said consoles can enjoy much more realistic reflections on various surfaces, from the windows of buildings, to the metal of cars and water in the streets.

The end result is very impressive and so immediately users started the derogatory comments on social media. So below you can find some of the reactions and images that users were quick to post on social media after the update was released, as well as a short comparison video showing the differences with ray-tracing on the PS5.

User reactions and posts on the GTA V ray-tracing upgrade:

The new GTA 5 update allows next gen consoles and PC to enable ray tracing when using the fidelity graphics mode. However, when enabled, the game maxes out at 30 FPS. Here is an image and comparison of car reflections before and after ray tracing is enabled. #GTA5 #GTAOnline pic.twitter.com/5QOREZnysg
