A few hours ago, the 80th Golden Globe Awards ceremony took place ^, which honored the best creations and best actors in cinema and television in 2022. In this context, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association decided this year to honor Eddie Murphy .

Going into details, the 61-year-old stand-up comedian and actor received the Cecil B. DeMille. award for his overall career in the industry, which is a remarkable honour. In his speech, after thanking his friends and relatives, he decided to give a piece of advice, since as he pointed out, he has been in the field of entertainment for 46 years and in the film industry for 41 years.

Somehow, his speech escalated…with a joke about Will Smith and the famous slap he gave Chris Rock at last year’s Oscars when the comedian made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith . In particular, Murphy specifically emphasized:

I want to let you know that there is an ultimate plan you can follow to achieve success, prosperity, longevity and peace of mind. It’s a plan I’ve followed throughout my career. It’s very simple, just do these three things:
Pay your taxes.Just mind your own business.Keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out of your fucking mouth.
