Galaxy S23 Ultra: The first photo samples next to the S22 and Pixel 7 Pro

Clash of giants

Leakster Ice Universe continues his Samsung Galaxy S23 camera leaks and this time he has a photo alongside the S22 Ultra and Pixel 7 Pro. The pictures are just a part of the whole picture and depict a pumpkin.

Image processing gives more intense colors in the first image (S23 Ultra), however the texture of the pumpkin is cleaner in the middle (S22 Ultra). The Pixel 7 Pro below, seems to give softer colors, with the same detail of the S23 Ultra.

According to the leakster, the S23 Ultra’s resolution is 3,000×4,000, yielding 12MP rather than 12.5 after pixel binning. The 200MP with 16:1 binning should have included a 12.5MP photo, however Samsung seems to have opted to cut half a megapixel to get to the round 12MP. There are still two modes with 50MP and 200MP.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to be released on February 17, so the Samsung teams still have months to improve the camera software, and the photo above may not be representative of the final result.
