House of the Dragon Season 2: We learned when the new episodes will be released

As production on Season 2 of House of the Dragon begins to ramp up, HBO has spoken about when we’ll be seeing new episodes of the series. The first information immediately after the finale of season 1 said, after all, that we definitely won’t see it in 2023.
Now, through HBO’s programming director Casey Bloys, the House of the Dragon season 2 release window has been revealed.
Speaking to Variety about the immediate future of the HBO series, Bloys said that sometime in 2024 ” would be a good guess ,” but tried to make the window more specific indirectly. As he mentioned, the new season of the Game of Thrones prequel series will probably not be able to participate in the 2024 Emmy Awards, because the period for submitting entries ends on May 31, 2024.
The conclusion that comes out is that the 2nd season of House of the Dragon will – most likely – return in the summer of 2024 . That is, at least two years after the premiere of the first season, which took place on August 21, 2022.

A few words about House of the Dragon:

Its creation is signed by George RR Martin and Ryan J. Condal (Colony). Condal, along with director Miguel Sapochnik , serve as showrunners and executive producers. House of the Dragon will consist of 10 episodes, at least for its first season.
Season 2 has already been greenlit by HBO, however Miguel Sapochnik has announced his departure as director and showrunner.
When is House of the Dragon season 2 due?
According to Variety we have learned that House of the Dragon season 2 will start filming in early 2023. So it is unlikely to be released until late 2023 and better to wait for it towards early or mid 2024.
This has now been confirmed by Casey Bloys, HBO’s director of programming who made it clear that Season 2 of House of the Dragon will not hit our screens until 2023.
The latest information, again through the mouth of Casey Bloys, says that the 2nd season of House of the Dragon will be released in the summer of 2024 .
