Star Wars: What’s up with the new movie from the creator of Lost and Watchmen?

Damon Lindelof’s film has found a director

For those who don’t know, a mysterious Star Wars movie has been in the works for some time now from Damon Lindelof, the creator of the hit series ” Lost ” and ” Watchmen ” (HBO).

October 30 marks 10 years since Disney bought Lucasfilm, and it’s been speculated that there might be some big announcements about the future of the Star Wars movies.

Adding fuel to the fire of what is being heard is the news, which Deadline broadcasts and reports that the new Star Wars film by the hand of Lindelof has found a director.

In particular he found a talent from the MCU as Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is said to be directing this new Star Wars movie that we recently learned about. She is one of the directors of the series Ms. Marvel by Marvel Studios for Disney Plus.

The film above is one of several Star Wars movies in development for theaters, a stretch in which after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker , it has been significantly watered down.

Suffice it to say that Patty Jenkins was preparing Rogue Squadron but it was recently removed from Disney’s schedule and its fate is unknown. Thor: Love and Thunder ‘s Taika Waititi and JD Dillard ( Sweetheart ) are each developing a Star Wars film.

Kevin Feige is also developing his own Star Wars film as a producer, with his confidant Michael Waldron ( WandaVision, Avengers: Secret Wars ) writing the script. Finally, there’s the Rian Johnson-helmed Star Wars trilogy in the middle , which we recently learned is still being discussed between the director and Lucasfilm, although it remains unknown when it will go into production.

However, the franchise has found comfort under the roof of Disney Plus, where thanks to the series The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi and now with ” Andor ” the universe is expanded in a variety of ways.
