True to its promise, Nintendo released the official trailer from The Super Mario Bros. Movie , which promises an immersive adventure with its beloved heroes. The film is set to hit theaters in April 2023, and the first video has given us a pretty good look at what to expect.
First, the special direct started with Shigeru Miyamoto , who first introduced the cast of the film. The animated film The Super Mario Bros. Movie will hit the screens with a really brilliant cast. Chris Pratt will initially be lending his voice to Mario, alongside Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach. Of course, Luigi could not be missing from the Mario movie, who will be played by Charlie Day , while Jack Black will be Bowser.
The rest of the cast members are: Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike, while it was announced that the decades-long “Mario”, Charles Martinet , he will also be in the film as a “surprise”.
What Miyamoto said towards the end of the Direct is that fans of the series will have something to find, such as small details, in every shot of the film, and as he officially stated, production is running smoothly and as we head towards release, we will let’s see more footage.
