Elon Musk donates one million trees to MrBeast’s #TeamTrees

MrBeast ‘s initiative to plant 20 million trees seems to find supporters with … deep pockets. So far the top contributors with five zeros have been MrBeast and Alan Walker. But #TeamTrees seems to have caught the interest of Elon Musk , who in a rather casual manner asked on Twitter where the trees are planted and what kind of trees they are, to get a response from Marques Brownlee whom he seems to trust stating ” OK it seems legitimate, i will donate 1 million trees ”.

The YouTube , which is a contributor to the effort of MrBeast, was quick to confirm that it is a legal process and pledged to donate this next million.

Twitter users have since asked other tech CEOs to make similar moves by tagging them on Twitter. Almost immediately Jack Dorsey of Twitter also responded by donating another $ 150,000. Recall that every dollar is equivalent to a tree, and so far $ 7 million has been raised including Musk’s donation.
