Jeremy Renner received a visit from their co-star in the Avengers and Marvel Studios films , following the terrifying accident he had on New Year’s when he was crushed by a snowplow. The result was that he broke over 30 bones and was in the ICU for almost two weeks.
But now he is recovering steadily at home following special treatment and Evangeline Lilly went to see him. In a new interview with Access Hollywood ahead of the premiere of her new film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania , Lilly opened up about her first contact with Jeremy Renner after the accident.
He said that he has “recovered like a hard ass”, that it is a “normal miracle” that he is alive and admires his mental and physical strength saying that “he is incredibly brave and strong”.
“I was at Jeremy’s house the other day and he was in a wheelchair. I walked into his house and… I said to him why are you moving? What’s going on? I was waiting to sit on his bed and hold his hand while he moaned and groaned from the pain and couldn’t move. He was walking around in his wheelchair and laughing with his friends.” – Evangeline Lilly
She also revealed in the same interview that since speaking to her friend and colleague, she has been emotional as she remembers “some of the things he told her she experienced” but also stories of “what followed, what she heard and what she saw ” after the accident. ” He had a near-death experience that was incredibly traumatic and he was awake for the whole thing. That stayed with me, ” Lilly also stated.
The 43-year-old Marvel star has already said she is grateful to have survived and is already well on her way to recovery.
