Wednesday: The creators said what they want to do with season 2
Even though it hasn’t been renewed for a 2nd season yet
A few days ago we informed you that we have very good news about the 2nd season of Wednesday . Although the series has not been officially renewed – yet – it is almost certain that it will be from next year, since the show broke all the counters .
Now, even though it’s early days, the showrunners already know what direction they’re going to take with the new season, and they’ve just released some of their ideas.
Warning, read below only if you have completed Wednesday season 1 .
More specifically, showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar spoke to The Hollywood Reporter and stated that they want to bring more mysteries for Wednesday Addams to explore.
We want to explore and complicate Wednesday’s relationships in the future. Now that he’s out of school he gives us a lot of potential for a season 2 and we’re excited about that. For us, the show is also about friendship between women, with Wednesday and Enid at the center. The fact that they really connected with the audience was very gratifying.
So we’re pretty excited to explore all of that, especially now that Wednesday has gotten a real friendship. They are now best friends. That was a big “arc” in season 1 right ? Another part we want to explore is the relationship with her mother, Morticia, now that she knows about her powers. How will their relationship develop from now on?
