iOS 16.4: Download now the new massive upgrade for iPhones – What’s new?

The new major update for iPhones has just been released by Apple and it brings many new features for all users. Yes, iOS 16.4 , which has been in beta form for a few weeks, is now all set to hit your phone and add some cool features.

The most important additions of iOS 16.4 in bullets:

• Brand New Emoji: These are 20 new emojis and include three different hearts in light blue, gray and hot pink, a new Wi-Fi icon, wings, comb, beans, ginger and more.
• Voice Isolation feature for mobile calls that prioritizes your voice and reduces background noise around you
• The Duplicate Album in Photos now has the ability to detect duplicate photos and videos in a Shared Photo Library in iCloud
• VoiceOver support for maps in the Weather app
• Accessibility setting to automatically dim when flashing lights or strobe effects are detected during video playback
  

• Fixes an issue where Ask to Buy requests from children would sometimes not appear on the parent’s device
• Addresses issues where Matter-compatible thermostats were sometimes unresponsive when paired to Apple Home
• Optimized Traffic Detection on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models
• New animation in Apple Books
• New update of HomeKit architecture
• Refreshing the Podcasts app
  

• Web push notifications: With the new update you will be able to receive notifications from web browsers such as Safari. These notifications will work on the websites you put on your iPhone or iPad home screen.
• A page saved to the Home Screen will be able to request permission for push notifications, as long as this request responds to a direct interaction with the user, for example if the user presses “register” on the respective site. The user will then be able to manage these permissions through settings like any other app on iPhone or iPad.
• Apple Music: Now you’ll be able to manage your Apple Music profile much more easily.
• Emergency SOS via Satellite: New countries will be able to enjoy the new iPhone 14 technology, including Austria, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal and the Netherlands.
  

• You will now be able to track your orders through Wallet when paying with Apple Pay.
• PlayStation 5’s DualSense Edge on iPhone is now supported
• New options in the Shortcuts app
• Finally, bugs have been fixed to make your iPhone experience smoother
