New Godzilla movie coming from Japan!

Except Godzilla vs Kong which we are already waiting for

Toho , the company behind the Japanese Godzilla , has announced that a brand new film about the legendary monster will be released in November 2023 . This revelation came during “ Godzilla Day 2022 ”, where the franchise’s official Twitter account also gave the premiere date.

The film will be directed by Takashi Yamazaki , who has worked on Lupine III: The First, Parayste Part 1 and Part 2, as well as Dragon Quest: Your Story. Check out the official announcement below:

It should be noted here that this is the new film of the franchise that Toho has been making for years, since the last time Shin Godzilla was released in 2016. Now, as far as the franchise is concerned, but from the Americans, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are preparing a sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong , which will also premiere in 2024.

According to Legendary, the upcoming film will further examine the stories of the two monsters and their origins, as well as why they protect humanity and the Earth from other monsters and from humans themselves. This might indicate that both Godzilla and Kong will have more screentime in this film.

As for the crew and cast, Adam Wingard is back to direct, while Brian Tyree Henry, Rebecca Hall, Kaylee Hottle returning, Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, Alex Ferns and Rachel House star. Terry Rossio, Jeremy Slater and Simon Barrett wrote the screenplay.
