We have the first image from the Gran Turismo movie!
Filming just started
Filming on Gran Turismo has begun and Sony Pictures is celebrating with a behind-the-scenes look. Without showing much, this particular photo makes the beginning and takes us back behind the scenes of this great project.
The image is accompanied by a caption that reads: “ Gran Turismo Movie is currently filming and will be based on a true story of a single player. The story of Jann Mardenborough, who won various competitions that led him to become a real professional race car driver. “
Who will star in the film?
Gran Turismo will star Archie Madekwe, David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Darren Barnett, Djimon Hounsou, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Daniel Puig, Josha Stradowski, Thomas Kretschman and more.
The film adaptation will be directed by Neill Blomkamp , known for “District 9” and “Elysium”, written by Jason Hall (American Sniper) and Zach Baylin (King Richard). Gran Turismo creator and Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi is also a producer on the film.
PlayStation Productions has been busy preparing TV and film productions based on its most famous game franchises. After Uncharted comes HBO’s The Last of Us TV series, the Peacock series Twisted Metal, and his Ghost of Tsushima movie.
The Gran Turismo movie, according to Sony’s plan, will premiere on August 11, 2023.
