PlayStation Plus: December’s free games now available on PS4 and PS5
Five different games to enjoy
December has arrived for a few twenty – four hours and now the new free games offered by PlayStation Plus Essential have finally arrived . In particular, Sony’s new proposals for the last month of the year are now available for subscribers of all levels of the service on PS4 and PS5 .
Going into details, from Monday December 5 until January 2, 2023 , you can redeem three or rather…five games. Specifically, PS4 and PS5 subscribers can play all three games in the original Mass Effect trilogy , a series considered by many to be the best of all time. This is undoubtedly the highlight of the month, since BioWare’s RPGs without exaggeration had made history in the PS3/Xbox 360 generation, receiving countless awards. It is worth noting that the Legendary Edition is a rich package with all the main chapters of the trilogy and the more than 40 DLCs that were released, while upgrading the technical field of experiences with 4K resolution and other improvements.
Continuing, PlayStation Plus subscribers can download one more game for both PS4 and PS5 starting today. This is Biomutant. It is a special open world experience, which is described as a post-apocalyptic kung-fu fable RPG that combines shooting and melee action. The final free game of the month is Divine Knockout: Founder’s Edition for PS4 and PS5, which is actually a Day One addition to the service.
It is worth noting that PS4 titles, i.e. Mass Effect Legendary Edition in this case, are also playable on PlayStation 5 through the console’s Backwards Compatibility feature. Finally, once you redeem the games within the aforementioned period, they will forever remain available in your digital library and will be accessible as long as you have an active subscription.
The PS Plus Essential list for December 2022:
