The first major patch for Hogwarts Legacy has just been released for PC and Xbox Series X|S . As stated by the development team, Avalanche , the new update will be a little delayed for those playing on PlayStation 5, without revealing when exactly it will arrive.

Early information says that this update improves the performance of the title both for those playing on PC, but also for those playing through Xbox consoles. In addition, the studio has eliminated a lot of bugs and the game now runs more smoothly.

Xbox Series X and PC players, expect a patch today that resolves a number of bugs and performance issues!

Among other things, we fixed a bug in Owl Mail, crashes that some players were seeing when watching a cutscene, errors when trying to save their progress, and more. You can find out everything the patch fixes by clicking here.

Those with a PlayStation 5 will have to be patient, as the new update will arrive sometime this week. If you don’t see the update yet, please wait a few more hours for it to appear.

Hogwarts Legacy wants to deliver a certain fantasy, and it does so purposefully and successfully. It is the “Harry Potter” game that the average fan has always dreamed of. The transfer of the universe is done very aptly and the game world is for me, its greatest achievement. Beautiful and alive, it is, I would say, a reason in itself to engage with him, even if he is not particularly moved by Harry Potter.
Underneath this glossy wrap, there is a satisfactorily implemented, yet trivial, open world world that carries with it almost all the pathologies of the genre, while, narratively, although it has good moments, the main story moves in shallow waters. Despite its glaring weaknesses, however, it is so extensive and detailed that I think that as a whole, it serves its purpose.

Hogwarts Legacy is out for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The PS4/Xbox One version will be released on April 4, 2023, while the Nintendo Switch version will be released on July 25, 2023.
