Razer: Its new Pro controller for the PS5 has something of the Xbox
For those who want asymmetric levers
A few days after revealing the price of the DualSense Edge , the official pro controller of PlayStation 5 , now Razer comes in its turn to bring to the market a proposal for gamers looking for a controller that offers something more.
We are talking about the Razer Wolverine V2 Pro , which comes with high-quality construction materials and multiple customization features. Starting with the basics, the layout chosen by the company has something of an Xbox, since the analog sticks are asymmetrical and not in the same line, as in Sony’s own controls. Continuing, unlike the other controllers of the Wolverine series, this particular model offers the possibility of a wireless connection to the console, through Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless technology.

Moving on, the company chose not to use the DualSense’s Adaptive Trigger technology and instead, the triggers of said controller are called ‘HyperTriggers’. Their particularity is that they do not vibrate, nor do they have any difficulty in pressing. Instead, they have two locking positions for the depth, which are set manually, through a special mechanism on the back. Another special feature, according to Razer, is the Mecha-Tactile buttons. More specifically, the company has ensured that the face buttons, the crosshair and the shoulder buttons have the feel and speed of high-end mechanical mouse switches.
As for customization options, there are programmable keys on the back, while the analog sticks can be swapped out for taller or shorter alternatives.
The Wolverine V2 Pro is aimed primarily at competitive gamers and is available through Razer’s official store for $249.99. Its release is scheduled for the end of the year.
