Part 3 of the 11th and final season of The Walking Dead premiered on October 2nd in America with the first two episodes titled “ Lockdown ” and “ A New Deal ”. The legendary AMC series is getting ready to draw the curtain after many years and the final part, in case you don’t know, will consist of 8 new episodes.
However, Sunday’s first episode held a big surprise for those who saw it, as a very interesting easter egg was found. In particular, the fans spotted a zombie, which was very similar to the legendary Freddy Krueger and this was not at all accidental, as this episode was directed by Greg Nicotero , who is a huge fan of horror movies and often puts many references from his famous faces genre.
So “Lockdown” was no exception last Sunday and featured one of Nicotero’s coolest “Tribute Walkers” to date: a zombie made to look like Robert Englund ‘s Freddy Krueger !
