At Gamescom 2022 we will learn more about Sonic Frontiers

Very soon we will hear more about Sonic Frontiers , the brand new chapter in SEGA ‘s storied series that promises a Sonic experience like no other, with high-speed action in a completely open environment. In particular, Geoff Keighly started to prepare the ground for his upcoming event, revealing that the new game of the blue hedgehog will not be missing from the Gamescom Opening Night Live .
At this point let us remind you that gamescom 2022 will take place between August 24 and 28 and will be a hybrid event this year, which will combine both digital elements and a physical presence from visitors and inside Cologne. The ‘dance’ will once again begin with the inaugural Gamescom Opening Night Live event a day earlier on August 23, presented by Keighley, of The Game Awards and Summer Game Fest.
As far as Sonic Frontiers is concerned, it is worth noting that so far its specific release date remains unknown, since all we know officially is that it will come sometime in 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and PC. So maybe on Geoff’s show we’ll get a more definitive answer on “when”.
For the record, SEGA had staded that it wants the game to triumph in the reviews, gathering high scores, while at the beginning of the summer we saw several gameplay shots, with special videos that presented, for example, exploration and combat in the open-world.
