The rumors and rumors about the release date of ” Killers of the Flower Moon ” have been confirmed in the most official way, as the new film from director Martin Scorsese is without a doubt one of the cinematic events of 2023.
Apple has announced that the period crime drama, produced by Apple Original Films , will be released in cinemas on October 6th in limited theaters and from October 20th it will be available more widely in the rest of the world . Later, Scorsese’s new film co-produced by Paramount Pictures will also be released through the Apple TV+ streaming service , but we still don’t know when exactly .
“Killers of the Flower Moon” is undoubtedly destined to be Apple’s main Oscar contender and one of the early favorites for the 2024 Oscars because of the names involved. The cast stars huge Hollywood names and all Oscar winners such as Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant ), Robert De Niro and Brendan Fraser ( The Whale ), while Jesse Plemons and Lilly Gladstone will co-star with them .

The Cupertino company wants to become a big Hollywood player and for this reason it will give billions to films in the coming years to promote them in theaters.
The plot of “Flower Moon” is based on David Grann’s book of the same name and tells the story of the murder of several members of the Osage tribe in the 1920s, shortly after oil was discovered on their land. The murders caught the attention of the then fledgling FBI, which during its investigation discovered a dark conspiracy.
Scorsese stated that when he read Grann’s book, he knew he had to make it into a film. He spent several hours with a chief named “Standing Bear” to convince the Osage Nation to help with the shooting. The film was shot in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, the original location of the events.
Killers of the Flower Moon is slated to hit theaters on October 20, 2023.
