Succession: The last episode comes in movie length

Get ready for the final act in the Roys’ drama

A very pleasant revelation for fans of Succession, the award-winning HBO series , was made by its composer, Nicholas Britell. Speaking to Variety, the Emmy-winning composer prepared viewers for a finale of epic proportions as it will last as long as a regular movie !

” It’s going to be 90 minutes . It’s a huge episode, like a movie, ” Britell said, teasing what fans will see in the final act of the Roys’ drama. So the 10th episode of the last season will break the record of the finale of the 2nd season for 16 whole minutes , while it was known that it will be directed by Mark Mylod.

There are three episodes left to complete the 4th and final season of Succession as episode 7 titled ” Tailgate Party ” airs this Sunday, May 7th. The 8th episode titled ” America Decides ” will air on May 14th , the 9th and penultimate episode will air on May 21st and finally, the grand finale of the series titled ” With Open Eyes ” will air on May 28th.

Of course, fans still can’t digest the twist of the 3rd episode of the last season, which also set a viewership record for the HBO show.

The series written by  Jesse Armstrong  and directed by  Mark Mylod  sees the delightful power games between Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his children, played by  Jeremy Strong  (Kendall Roy),  Kieran Culkin  (Roman Roy) and  Sarah Snook  (Shiv Roy).

Succession has become one of HBO’s best and most award-winning series, with  13 Emmy Awards in its pocket including Best Drama Series for seasons 2 and 3 back-to-back.

It should also be mentioned that HBO is not planning any continuation of Succession through a spinoff series and thus its finale will be completely final.
