Sex Education Season 4: Gillian Anderson’s “Mama Otis” makes an appearance (PHOTO)

Gillian Anderson has teased her return to the role of Jean in Netflix ‘s hit series Sex Education . The 54-year-old star shared a photo on Instagram of herself sitting in a makeup chair as she prepares to film Season 4 of Sex Education . 

“¨Jean is back!” writes Anderson as production on Season 4 of Sex Education has been in full swing since filming began in July. 

After all, after the events of season 3, Jean will be faced with motherhood again, as she will have to raise her newborn child and Otis’ brother. 

Perhaps at Netflix’s upcoming TUDUM event (September 24th) we will learn new information about the next season of Sex Education. 

Here’s the official Season 4 synopsis:

Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric are now at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is very nervous about setting up his new ‘clinic’, while Eric prays they don’t become the university losers again. Moordale students thought they were progressive, but this new college is on another level.

In the US, Maeve lives her dream at the prestigious Wallace University, taught by author Thomas Molloy, but Otis pursues her while she adjusts to not being home alone or the only therapist on campus.

Among the notable cast losses are  Tanya Reynolds  and  Patricia Alison  who play Lily and Ola respectively,  Simone Ashley  who played Olivia and is now a ‘Bridgerton’ regular, as well as the newest loss, that of  Rakhee Thakrar , who she played Professor Emily Sands.

The Cast of Sex Education 4 now includes  Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mimi Keene, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Dua Saleh, Alistair Petrie  and  Samantha Spiro.
