Olivia Newton-John of “Grease” has passed away at the age of 73  

Gone is a… “Summer Night”

In the spotlight came an unpleasant news stating that Olivia Newton-John passed away at the age of 73. She had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, while as it became known she had metastasized in 2007.

You may remember her from the legendary musical Grease , since she played “Sandy” alongside John Travolta , but she had also performed legendary songs such as Summer Nights and You are the one that I Want .

In his Facebook message, her husband writes that Olivia Newton-John passed away at her home in southern California, surrounded by her family and friends.

“ She was a symbol of triumph and hope for over 30 years ,” he writes, referring to her condition. In fact, she had also opened a foundation for cancer research.

Olivia Newton-John had acted in various movies like “Grease”, “ Xanadu ”, “ Two of a Kind ”, “ It’s My Party ” and others.
